Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of Predictor, the prediction game at predictor.so ("Predictor", "we"). By creating an account or playing, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

1.The service

Predictor is a free-to-play football prediction game: you pick teams, earn points for correct predictions, and compete with friends in leagues.

• It is not gambling. There are no stakes, no odds, no wagers, and no prizes of monetary value offered by us. Nothing in the service is an invitation to bet.
• If members of a private league arrange anything among themselves (a trophy, a forfeit, a round of drinks), that is their own private arrangement — we are not a party to it and take no responsibility for it.

2.Who can play

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, make sure a parent or guardian is okay with you playing.

3.Your account

• One account per person. Sign in with your own email or Google account.
• Keep your details accurate, and keep access to your sign-in email secure — anyone who can read your email can sign in as you.
• You can delete your account at any time in Account → Credentials. Deletion is permanent and includes your picks, stats, standings and any leagues you administer.

4.Game rules and scoring

• The game rules (how picks work, how points are scored, bonuses, deadlines) are described in the app and may evolve between rounds or seasons. We'll apply changes fairly and prospectively, not retroactively to settled scores.
• Fixtures, results and scoring are entered and settled by us. Honest mistakes get corrected; our determination of results and points is otherwise final.
• Missed deadlines are missed — the round locks at kickoff and we can't accept late picks, however good the excuse.

5.Fair play

Don't:

• run more than one account, or share an account;
• use bots, scripts or automated access to play or scrape the service;
• use offensive, abusive or impersonating names — for yourself, your team or your leagues;
• harass other players, or attempt to disrupt or break the service.

We can rename content, remove content, or suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

6.Leagues

• Private leagues are run by their admin. The admin controls membership and can delete the league for everyone in it.
• Leaving a private league is permanent: you drop off its table and your standing in that league is deleted. Rejoining starts you fresh.
• Your picks and results are visible to other members of your leagues — that's the game. Locked-in picks stay hidden from other players until the round locks.

7.Your content

Names you choose (display name, team name, league names) are yours, but you give us permission to display them in the service — league tables, standings, halls of fame — as the game requires. We can remove or rename content that breaks section 5.

8.The service is provided "as is"

Predictor is a free game, provided as-is and as-available. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that scores will always be settled instantly. We may change, suspend or discontinue features — or the service — at any time. If we ever discontinue it entirely, we'll give reasonable notice where we can.

9.Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of a free game — including lost bragging rights, group-chat consequences, or anything league members arrange between themselves. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under law (including for fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence), and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

10.Ending things

You can stop playing and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and will tell you why unless we legally can't.

11.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms — for example when the game gains new features. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and we'll flag significant changes in the app. Playing after a change means you accept it.

12.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction — though if you live elsewhere in the UK or EU, you keep any protection and courts your local law gives you.
